To learn more about Jennifer B.’s experience as a psychic reader as well as what to expect from her Bath and Body Magic class, enjoy the following interview.
Q: You are one of the tarot readers at DTC, but what is the term you would use to best describe yourself (intuitive, psychic, witch, druid, etc.) and metaphysical practices?
A: This is an excellent question! I feel very connected to Nature and the magical realms.
The metaphysical world is very multidimensional, so it’s probably safe to say I’m still figuring out the right way to describe what I do. I believe in Magic and the beauty of the human soul. I enjoy connecting with trees, flowers and the water. I talk to Spirit daily and set goals with the highest and greatest good of all in mind. We could probably call that a psychic witch lol.
Q: How did you become interested in the metaphysical? Specifically, what was your road to realizing your intuitive abilities, learning divination, and practicing magic?
A: Sometimes the metaphysical world chooses you, as much as you choose it. As a kid, I was drawn to magic with a special interest in fairies. I could see and feel the presence of Spirits around me, and I began developing relationships with Elementals (Fae Spirits), Guides and Angels. I remember actively casting a spell in kindergarten out of sheer curiosity. It worked and I became even more fascinated with the metaphysical. I secretly was the kid who longed for answers to Universal questions. I began reading cards, but there were so many layers to the metaphysical I didn’t understand and needed to relearn. My college years brought heavy exploration into meditation, which helped to open my intuition further; however, I have immense gratitude for my days working in paranormal investigation. There is nothing like ghost hunting to give you a crash course in protecting your energy! I learned a lot about clairvoyance and the spirit realm very quickly. It brought forth my passion for helping others.
Q: Your bio states that you specialize in love and paranormal occurrences? What do you think strengthened your interest in or affinity for these areas?
A: I enjoy focusing my divination on matters of the heart and feel inclined to express unconditional love the best I can. I deeply understand the emotional and mental layers that come with relationships. I trust in the tools I’ve been given to help empower others in love and all that comes with it. As for the paranormal, I used to investigate “things that go bump in the night.” I interacted with spirits at a young age, and there are a lot of “things” out there one should be aware of. I know what it’s like to be misunderstood. Sometimes, you just need someone to talk to who won’t think you are crazy. With me, you are in a safe, judgment free zone.
Q: One of the unique services you offer at DTC is Magical Life Mapping. Can you explain a little bit about this service?
A: Magical Life Mapping is an expansive program for those looking to deep-dive into their metaphysical or intuitive journey. My goal is to help participants better understand and connect with their gifts. I believe everyone has psychic ability and a magic unique to their path. Magical Life Mapping uses a combination of tarot, meditation, Sekhem-Seichim (Egyptian) Reiki, crystals, past life and shamanic journey-inspired techniques to help facilitate growth towards achieving goals and dreams. It’s a great beginning step for someone looking to spread their magical wings, without knowing where to start.
Q: What is one misconception about either energy, divination, magic, or witchcraft that you wish people understood differently?
A: I believe science and spirituality, energy and magic are one and the same. Energy is everything. We live in a world abundant with magic, but we must trust and believe in order to see.
Q: What is bath and body magic?
A: Bath and Body Magic is a class teaching timeless rituals for self-care. It is the art of setting intention through the body, the sacred vessel which carries us through life. Magical baths, oils and self-care are all a part of this class.
Q: Have you/do you use bath and body magic in your personal practice?
A: Of course! Purification through salt baths and showers are a regular routine to keep energy clean and clear of negativity. I hold ritual baths close to my heart, and I am incredibly grateful for the healing gifts water offers.
Q: What can students expect to learn in your class?
A: Students will begin to learn about the magical, healing properties in water. Together, we’ll craft a bathing ritual specific to your intentions. Oils, flowers, crystals and herbs will be discussed. Hopefully, everyone will feel more empowered in their self-care routines…with an extra dose of magic!
Q: Who is this class for?
A: This class is for anyone interested in beginning water magic, or who want to boost their self-care practices. It is user-friendly and designed for those who want to feel more confident and beautiful.
Q: Why are you excited about teaching this topic?
A: Honestly, I love magical self-care! You can’t pour from an empty cup. My goal is to help students relax and rejuvenate while opening their creative potential. I practice self-care daily and I am passionate about how it can improve one’s mindset. Let’s craft together!
Q: What is the best advice you can give those exploring their spirituality or different metaphysical practices?
A: Your beliefs shape your reality. Always check-in with your core. If it feels good and true, carry forward. If something doesn’t resonate with your journey, it’s okay to set it aside. You are more powerful than you realize, and your heart is always your inner compass. Get to know yourself deeply and own your truth.
Crystal Fact of the Week
Plants enjoy crystals as much as people! There are many crystals that are thought to have benefits for growth when placed in or near the plant. In addition to their growth benefits, black stones like obsidian are thought to keep away pests.
